Wake up get dressed
Maybe eat? Too stressed
Chin up embrace the day
Wish for different try to pray
Walk the halls “you’re a hero”
Odds of raise? Surely zero
Drop your bags clock in
Get report not again
Check record nothing charted
Codes quickly soon departed
Family asking “update?”
How to tell them “too late”
Hear call another need
Make a mess tube feed
Patient scared new procedure
Shift focus be the teacher
Half a lunch read a verse
They spit out pills hold back a curse
Someone’s crying be pleasant
Cancer’s back what a present
Sitter needed float a tech
Ratio sucks stress in neck
Tie one to bed hope it holds
Clean the sheets wipe the folds
Heart tachy rate one twenty
Out of fluids told there’s plenty
IV out exposed to blood
Get tested? Someone should
An hour left almost done
Alarm sounds they’re on the run
Grab the haldol snow ‘em out
Drenched in urine suppress the shout
Clock hits seven change of guard
Finally over thank you Lord
Get some dinner take a shower
Time with family: just an hour
Lay in bed turn on a show
Keep on this way? You don’t know
Close your eyes fight defeat
Catch some sleep then repeat

Excellent!!!
Wow!! That was really good. I’m sure all nurses and Doctors, healthcare workers can definitely relate to this!
